Me desperté con fiebre y todo lo que pasaba a mi alrededor parecía un sueño. Con todas mis fuerzas me levanté de la cama y me arrastré con las piernas pesadas para abrirle la puerta a la gata. La gata maullaba pero no vino. Volví a la cama y me dejé caer con todo el peso de mi cuerpo y respiré entrecortado e intenté abrir los ojos y no pude y comprobé que fue la fiebre y no yo, y que entonces nunca me levanté a abrirle la puerta a la gata que todavía maullaba. Tengo frío pero estoy toda mojada y mi cuerpo transpirado se pega al colchón con la sábana corrida. La gata sigue maullando y no le puedo abrir. Creo que la gata grita. Abro los ojos, respiro, me levanto de a poco, esta vez yo, no la fiebre, y con los ojos mareados camino, me arrastro, abro la puerta y la dejo entrar. La gata corre y me muerde los pies y yo me dejo porque mi cuerpo débil no puede contra sus dientes fuertes. Vuelvo a la cama, busco el rincón de colchón que todavía está cubierto por la sábana blanca y me dejo caer, de nuevo, esta vez yo, no la fiebre, y espero. La gata sube a la cama y camina buscando el lugar para quedarse, amasa mis muslos y encuentra entre mis piernas un recoveco que la acuna. Yo no tengo recoveco, mi recoveco siempre son brazos y mi cuna su pecho. Montevideo está afuera pero no sé quién está adentro. Entra luz por la ventana y sale sangre de mi cuerpo, ¿dónde lloran los cuerpos cuando no tienen casa?

After I originally commented I seem to have clicked on the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now each time a comment is added I receive four emails with the exact same comment.
