Ya llegué, llegué bien, era de noche pero ya era de día, amaneció temprano en Montevideo, no sé, eran las 6 cuando abrí los ojos y me quise venir a dormir a la que estos días está siendo mi casa. Era de día y es verano y el cielo estaba celeste y estaba a pocas cuadras así que caminé. Toda la Ciudad Vieja, Cerrito, Colón, 25 de Mayo, la peatonal Sarandí, la puerta de la Ciudadela, Artigas, el palacio Salvo, 18 de julio, Andes, San José, Convención. Llegué bien. Caminé mejor. Estaba casi sola y en cada esquina veía el Río de la Plata. Pensé que tres días no es nada y que un año es pila. Pensé en las primeras veces y en que quisiera nunca tener sueño.
