Hoy se cumplen 21 años desde que dejé de ser la única hija, la única nieta y la única sobrina. Desde ese día nunca más fui ni voy a ser yo sola.
Todavía me acuerdo del día que nació, me acuerdo que papá me despertó temprano diciendo que tenía una sorpresa. Yo pensé que era un perrito pero resultó que era él.
Cuando era chiquito me decía «mana» porque hermana no le salía. Andaba siempre corriendo atrás de una pelota y también lloraba mucho.
No sé en qué momento creció, hoy lo miro y pienso en la suerte que tengo de que sea mi hermano. Tan bueno, lindo, inteligente y talentoso. Como en cualquier familia normal, en casa tampoco se habla mucho de sentimientos, pero hace no mucho estábamos los dos solos y yo quise explicarle eso que siento por él entonces le dije algo así como «Toto, vos me querés a mí tanto como yo a vos?» Y él me respondió «yo te amo, gorda», y yo sentí el alivio de lo recíproco. Pero al final igual tampoco le expliqué muy bien así que se lo voy a explicar ahora: es mi persona favorita en el mundo, siento un orgullo infinito de poder decir este es mi hermano, cuando se me cae una pestaña siempre pido que él sea feliz, cuando me dice que está triste me dan ganas de dar vuelta el mundo entero para que se ponga bien y se me rompe un poquito el alma cada vez que pienso que hace 7 años que nos extrañamos mucho más de lo que nos vemos.
Para vos será “un día común nomás”, pero para mí es el día en que celebro que existas. Te amo más de lo que cualquier textito de mierda puede expresar, Toto.
